Helmod Calculator[]
Helmod is a powerful calculator that comes with the Sea Block Pack. It is reliable, and Kiwi is making it more user-friendly.
Helmod does have some in-game help. It's on our to-do list to update it and add information to the wiki. Check out the following video tutorials for Helmod:

For circular recipes (Where the output is recycled), such as the creation of charcoal:
- Turn on matrix mode.
- Temporarily turn off filtering of output products (small circle), then Ctrl+Click on Charcoal (larger circle).
- You can now turn filtering back on.
- Add another source of the basics (e.g., water).
- Use Ctrl+Click (or Shift+Click) on the item you want to recycle.
- Ctrl-Click on the output to instruct Helmod to use the recipe to satisfy THAT output, not any of the other ones, unless using Matrix Solver.
Hotkeys in Helmod[]
Helmod provides several useful hotkeys to enhance user experience and streamline the process of designing and managing production setups. Here's a guide to some key hotkeys and their functions:
- Ctrl+Click (or Shift+Click):
- Usage: In matrix mode, Ctrl+Click is often used to indicate specific dependencies or instructions to Helmod. For example, Ctrl+Clicking on an item can signify its exclusion or inclusion in certain calculations.
- Shift+Click:
- Usage: Shift+Click is used to exclude items or recipes from the calculation. This can be handy when you want to focus on specific parts of your production chain without interference from others.
- Toggle Matrix Mode:
- Default Key: M
- Usage: Matrix Mode is a powerful feature in Helmod, allowing you to visualize and manage dependencies in your production chain more effectively. Pressing M toggles Matrix Mode on and off.
- Toggle Filters:

- Usage: Filters help you narrow down the display to specific items or recipes. Pressing F toggles the visibility of filters, making it easier to focus on particular aspects of your production setup.
- Ctrl+Mouse Wheel:
- Usage: In matrix mode, using Ctrl+Mouse Wheel allows you to zoom in and out, providing a more detailed or broader view of your production chain.
- Ctrl+Z (Undo) and Ctrl+Y (Redo):
- Usage: These standard undo and redo hotkeys allow you to revert or reinstate changes made during the design process.
- Ctrl+C (Copy) and Ctrl+V (Paste):
